I’m new to this whole spirit thing so I just bought 15 of these to see what I could learn from the binding sigils they say keeps an entity bound.


I experimented with breaking them, stressing them with anima infusions and trying to get the being inside to work on them from within. In the end, it’s all code and anything can be cracked, but it took a decent long time even after I figured out the working principles.

What Kind Of Ghost Am I Getting?

No two spirits are alike, so the ghost in the box you purchase will be unique in origin, post-life age, behavior, and intent. All ghosts within the Purple-Gold Personal Haunting line will fall into a Grade 0.5 category of spirit, which is the preferred ranking for at-home ghost-keeping.

What Can I Expect In My Personal, Controlled Haunting?

The exact nature of your personal haunting will be mostly safe, and certified as acceptable for home-use by the relevant agencies (see Our Ghost Boxing Process for specifics). Your box will arrive with a detailed guide on signs and symptoms to expect, as well as care instructions for your ghost. For more, check out our Blog or FAQ page.

Warning:

With the danger of containment breach, do not open your ghost box. A whole, complete, and interconnected network of sigils is necessary to keep your ghost within its box. Any breaks in the lines (from trying to open it, eat it, shower with it, etc. – yeah, we see you) can result in an escape as subtle as Protocol 1 and as dangerous as Protocol 5. I bought a normal box and a special box as a birthday gift for my husband. It arrived just fine. When I gave it to him, however, we both detected a burned smell coming from the special box… Yeah, it had escaped. 


We think it might be a compatibility issue where some of our equipment at home, probably the psychic toaster, interfered with some of the bindings, but regardless, the customer service people were super helpful and quickly got a feel for the situation to give us actionable advice so we could deal with the situation.


I was offered my money back afterwards, but we honestly had a great time and my husband said it was the best birthday he’d had in a long while, so I declined. Great fun – but be careful if you are from a home with ectoplasmic conversion turbines or gravitronium-amalgamating equipment of any kind.
